WAYNESFIELD – Sometimes opening a big door leaves too much room for what’s behind you to sneak in. Waynesfield-Goshen (5-8) experienced that first-hand as Temple Christian (2-13) erased a double-digit lead to nearly tie the game, before the Tigers rallied for a 57-52 victory on Friday night.
WG forward Jayden Elliott led all scorers with 23 points, maybe none bigger than four crucial free throws in the fourth quarter. Za’Mere Daniel knocked down seven field goals en route to a 15 point night.
Cody Motter and Landon Callahan (6-8 FT’s) carried the load for the Pioneers, scoring 19 points apiece.
