Lakers score two in bottom of 7th, fall 4-2
ANDOVER – Carly Kray’s three run homer in the fifth inning stood up as visiting Edgewood (5-3) knocked off Pymatuning Valley (5-2), 4-2, on Friday. Faith Vencill added an insurance shot in the 7th.
The Lakers mounted a two-out rally in the final at-bat of the 7th inning. Mackenzie Kribbs drove in the first run, reaching safely on a throwing error. McKenna Jordan followed up with a drive to center, bringing home Kendall Gray who earlier reached on a single. A ground ball to Warriors 3B Carly Tracy who nailed the throw to Kray at first, closed out the game.
Lucianna Paolillo gets the win for Edgewood, allowing six hits over seven innings of work with no earned runs and two strikeouts.
