Nine-run 5th propels St. John past Edgewood, 13-3

ASHTABULA – Three timely hits and a trio of Edgewood errors saw the St. John Heralds (3-2) convert a 4-2 lead into a 13-3 run-rule victory in five innings of work at Smith Field on Tuesday.

Chase Newsome (2 runs), Will Anderson (2 hits, 2 runs) and Ezra Campbell (2 RBI, SB) staked St. John to a 9-2 lead in the bottom of the 5th inning, combined with Warrior miscues that resulted in four more runs to end the game.
