LAKEWOOD, OH – Wooster is the North Coast High School Hockey League’s 2020-21 National Division champs after besting Harbor Creek, 3-1, at Winterhurst/Serpentini Ice Arena on Sunday. Forward Colin Moninger tallied all three scores for the Oilers to capture the coveted hat trick.
It was a busy afternoon for Huskies goalie Brennan Murphy who made 34 saves, despite the loss. Forward Landon Wurst scored the team’s only goal at 11:28 in the first period on a Nick McCarthy assist.
Jacob O’Brien stopped 16 shots in the win for Wooster.
