Bees get an ‘A’ to capture NCHSHL American Division

LAKEWOOD, OH – The rivalry matchup between the Medina Bees and North Royalton Bears did not disappoint in Sunday’s North Coast High School Hockey League American Division title match. Medina was held scoreless in the first period before finishing with a 4-2 win.
The Bears got out to the early lead in the first thanks to a Dominic Markovitz goal with :41 seconds to go in the first.
The next three scores belonged to Medina. Carson Johnston, Cole Dubitsky, and Brandon Brown put the Bees on the board with second period scores (8:20, 4:36 and 1:31). Jackson Duffy added an insurance score at 6:59 in the third. Alexander Danner led the team with two assists.
North Royalton goalkeeper Brandon Rapp was under heavy fire in the final two frames, with 21 of his 27 stops.
Justin Blauman had 20 saves for Medina as his team limited the Bears to only three attempts on goal in the second period.
